Gillian Casey L.Ac. and her husband Scott Casey ND have recently opened Concordia Natural Medicine, located at 1834 First St. in Napa, CA. The clinic was previously located in Portland, Oregon. “We are excited to move our practice to Napa and to bring our services to this community. It’s really exciting to return to the place I consider ‘home’,”
In Concordia Natural Medicine’s Napa location, Gillian joins with her husband, Dr. Scott Casey ND, in practice. “We use evidence-based natural medicine in the treatment and prevention of common health concerns,” says Dr. Casey. “With more and more Americans interested in safe and effective approaches to maintaining health, we are seeing an increase in demand for therapies like acupuncture, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition and bio-identical hormone therapy. People are asking for a more holistic model of health care that emphasizes prevention. My wife and I are excited to share our philosophy with them,” said Dr. Casey.
As a licensed acupuncturist, Gillian treats patients using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. “Acupuncture is powerful medicine and I’ve seen it do amazing things,” said Gillian. “ The effects of acupuncture are really quite profound. It’s important for people to realize that acupuncture and natural medicine can be useful in almost any health problem,” says Gillian. “In my opinion, there isn’t anyone out there that wouldn’t benefit from this medicine. Although I treat a wide spectrum of health problems, I have a special interest in women’s health. I work with women throughout the lifespan, from adolescence into the childbearing years and beyond into menopause.”
Her husband Scott adds, “It isn’t hard to see why this approach to medicine is so popular- it’s safe and effective with the added benefit of empowering people to take control of their health. We do this by spending quite of bit of time with our patients. Our office visits usually last at least an hour, which lets us get to know our patients and how to best serve them.”
Gillian graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is board certified in the state of California. Dr. Scott Casey graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Additionally, he earned a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
